NAWA - INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS WITHIN BILATERAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES FOR STUDENTS AND SCIENTISTS

NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) has opened a call for applications to the international scholarships within bilateral exchange programmes for students and scientists – a travel offer for the academic year 2021/2022.

NAWA implements academic exchange programmes as part of bilateral agreements and bilateral cooperation with, i.a., the following countries: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Mexico, Mongolia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Hungary, Vietnam.

The objective of the Programme is to increase the level of internationalization of Polish higher education, establish academic cooperation and implement it through exchange of students and academic researchers based on international agreements between Poland and partner countries and bilateral cooperation at the national or ministerial level. Scholarship visits carried out under the programme will grant possibility to initiate or expand cooperation between academic centres in Poland and abroad, as well as to improve the specialist expertise of participating representatives of academia. Thanks to exchange of students, doctoral students and scientists under international agreements, relations between partner countries will be developed and mutual understanding, trust and respect will be strengthened.

Note: Time and form of submitting applications may differ in some countries – please check the “country tab”.

The deadline for submitting the applications to the Agency, electronically via the Agency’s ICT system, is 18 December 2020, 15:00 CET (this does not apply to Japan, to which deadline is 31 March 2021).

One of the mandatory documents is a letter from the university supporting the Applicant’s participation in the Programme. If you are interested in applying for NAWA Programme, please submit to JU IRO (ul. Czapskich 4, pok. 25) until 17 December 2020 the following documents:

STUDENTS:

  1. Completed application printed out the Agency’s ICT system – it must be signed by the Head of the Unit (the Dean or the Director of the Institute)
  2. Completed letter from the University supporting the Applicant’s participation in the Programme – student version
  3. Confirmation of the average grade obtained in the last year of studies

SCIENTISTS (i.e. DOCTORAL STUDENTS, ACADEMIC TEACHERS AND RESEARCH WORKERS):

  1. Completed application printed out the Agency’s ICT system – it must be signed by the Head of the Unit (the Dean or the Director of the Institute)
  2. Completed letter from the University supporting the Applicant’s participation in the Programme – scientist version
  3. Confirmation of doctoral student status or academic teacher status
